How do I create a tournament and what do the settings mean?

Opening the tournament area

Under Laufend you'll find tournaments that are currently being played. The Resultate tab shows the completed ones.

Club-Turnier or local tournament

1. Club-Turnier — runs via your club's boards. Multiple games run simultaneously, members can be added. Requires configured boards, see Set up a device as a board.
2. Lokales Turnier — runs entirely on this one device. Games are played one after another; players come to the device.

For a Club-Turnier, you then select the club.

General settings

1. Turniername — required field, indicated by a red asterisk.
2. Modus — the tournament format, e.g. Single Knockout.
3. Bots — fills empty spots with computer opponents.
4. Max. Darts — limits a Leg to a maximum number of darts. Leave empty for no limit.
5. Darts auf Doppel erfassen — asks after each Leg how many darts were thrown at the double. Costs one tap per Leg, but provides the double percentage in return.

Spiel um Platz 3 determines whether the two semi-final losers play each other. Trostrunde is announced but not yet available.

Tournament structure

1. Spielmodus — for example Legs – Best of.
2. Spielvariante — Single In – Double Out and others.
3. Punktzahl — 501 and alternatives.
4. Distanzen — how many Legs are played per phase, e.g. Bo5 – Bo5 for group and knockout stages.
5. Boardeinstellung — Lokales Gerät or Club-Boards. The text below each option explains what it means.

Specials

Specials are the top performances that the tournament tracks alongside the games.

1. Shortleg (max Darts) — counts Legs finished in that many darts or fewer.
2. Highfinish (min Punkte) — counts finishes from this score upward; values between 41 and 170 are allowed.
3. Highscore (min Punkte) — counts visits from this score upward; values between 100 and 179 are allowed. 180er are counted separately.
4. Erstellen — creates the tournament.
